Keep Your Hell to Yourself -- Acoustic Live -- Protest Song in Blues

As I promised late last year, I will be releasing a few tunes I've kept to myself due to their controversial subject matter. This one in particular is a blatant protest song, and I needed to muster some courage to put it out here. We're currently in the studio with Troubled Girl on this track and will soon be calling on some friends to help us out with a gang-vocal echoing the ends of some of the phrases (in parenthesis). As I've come to recognize that political discourse on social networking can be a moot point, I see that our jobs as artists have become doubly important in this new day and age. When Obama was POTUS, I made a commitment to further my education, and managed to finish 2 degrees. I have decided to continue a personal tradition, and to set goals for each presidential term. This one is for Mr Trump --- I vow to be art AF, and no holds barred.

It is a short and sweet tune, and easy to interpret, but the interpretation is not my job--that is up to you.  I would love to know your thoughts and have left the comments enabled. Of course, be forewarned, if it gets hateful down there, I'll shut it down.

Keep Your Hell to Yourself

Your definition of sin

is clearly written in

black and white (black and white!)

And the constitution says your religion

can't determine my rights.

Did I forget to mention

That the constitution

says religion has no dog in the fight?

You get to let your dogma bite but keep your Hell to yourself (Hell to yourself!)

And if a woman wanna love a woman,

it's alright (it's alright!)

And if a man wanna love a man,

well, we know that he can.

And when I curl up and die

I won't be strumming no harp in the sky.

You get to let your dogma bite but keep your Hell to yourself (hell to yourself!)

You get to let your dogma bite but keep your Hell to yourself (hell to yourself!)

You get to let your dogma bite but keep your Hell to yourself (hell to yourself!)
